EY GENPOWER
Generator Requirements by Application
Prepare generator requirements for industrial, construction, commercial and critical loads. Review starting conditions and site standards before sizing.
Industrial and workshop loads.
Identify motors, compressors, pumps and process equipment, their starting methods and which loads run together. A running-load total alone may not establish the generator size; starting and transient requirements need review.
Construction and temporary power.
State the tools and starting loads, operating hours, installation mobility and site access. Confirm the enclosure, lifting or transport arrangement, refuelling and packing requirements with the proposed supplier configuration.
Commercial and critical-load backup.
Separate essential loads from optional loads and identify the transfer arrangement, acceptable interruption and monitoring needs. Critical applications require project-specific engineering and local compliance review before a supply commitment.
